Coconut Oil
Deeply penetrates the hair shaft to reduce protein loss and lock in moisture. It helps strengthen hair, prevent breakage, and nourish the scalp. Its antimicrobial properties support a healthy environment for hair to grow.
Castor Oil
Boosts circulation to the scalp, supporting stronger, thicker hair. Its antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects promote scalp health while its dense texture helps coat and protect fragile strands.

Shea Butter
Hydrates and soothes the scalp with vitamins A and E, softens brittle hair, and forms a protective barrier against environmental damage. It also reduces dryness and flakiness, which can block healthy growth.
Tea Tree Oil
Cleanses the scalp by unclogging hair follicles and dissolving buildup. It has powerful antifungal and antibacterial properties that help fight dandruff and create the ideal foundation for growth.
Essential Herbal
Blend Combines the power of natural herbs—such as rosemary, lavender and nettle—to stimulate blood flow, strengthen follicles, calm inflammation, and support healthy hair cycles. These herbs have been used for generations to encourage thicker, fuller growth.

Kentucky Granny
The 1940s were marked by scarcity and hardship, yet it gave rise to Kentucky Granny and her remarkable grease. This woman embodied a rugged, earthy beauty, characterized by her long, thick hair. Enigmatic in nature, her origins and name remained unknown. She was frequently spotted gathering dandelions and other wildflowers and herbs to brew tea for her family's well-being. While some viewed her as odd, she possessed an extraordinary talent for harnessing the power of herbs and nature’s offerings.
She was my grandmother-She was Kentucky Granny
In her kitchen, she concocted a mixture that promoted hair growth. Although it had an unpleasant aroma at the time, it proved effective. Decades later, I would replicate that very concoction—perfectly. This process brings back fond memories of preparing the mixture and styling hair in the kitchen on Saturdays to look our Sunday best.
Who would have imagined that a hair product from the 1940s would still hold relevance for hair growth today? I’m excited to share this handcrafted product from our kitchen with you. May you enjoy the natural nutrients it offers and experience lasting hair growth over time.
Be blessed, be healthy

About
Nel Pease
Visionary | mother | caregiver
Nel Pease is a woman rooted in legacy, love, and the healing traditions of her ancestors. A devoted mother and natural caregiver, Nel has long been a quiet force—nurturing others with grace, resilience, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from lived experience.
The inspiration behind Kentucky Granny Growing Grease flows directly through her veins. Her grandmother—an enigmatic woman of the 1940s—was often seen foraging herbs and wildflowers, not for fashion, but for function. She carried a rugged, earthy beauty and an intuitive knowledge of nature’s healing powers. Known only as Kentucky Granny, she crafted herbal teas and remedies to care for her family through times of scarcity and hardship.
In her humble kitchen, Kentucky Granny created a hair grease that—though modest in scent—worked wonders. It became a staple in the household. Years later, it was Nel who lovingly revived and perfected that very formula, guided by memories of kitchen Saturdays filled with laughter, care, and the ritual of preparing for Sunday’s best.
Today, Nel is more than a brand founder—she is the keeper of a generational recipe, the bridge between past and present. Through her hands, Kentucky Granny’s legacy lives on. With each 4 oz. jar, she offers not just nourishment for hair, but a tradition of care, strength, and authenticity passed from one generation to the next.
Nel Pease invites you to experience what her family has known for decades—nature heals, love remembers, and growth happens one strand at a time.
